Josh Sevin, President & CEO
Josh has served as president & CEO of International House Philadelphia since May 2018. He draws upon his more than 20 years of nonprofit management, public sector and consulting experience to oversee IHP’s residential and cultural programs fostering a dynamic hub for international activity in University City.
Before joining International House, Josh served in a variety of roles at the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, a regional civic leadership organization, including acting executive director and deputy director. Josh guided a range of impact initiatives at the Economy League, including development of the World Class Greater Philadelphia agenda, expansion of the Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange into the region’s premier leadership conference, and the creation of the Greater Philadelphia Export Plan.
Prior to the Economy League, Josh developed and implemented economic growth strategies for the City of Philadelphia’s Commerce Department, Center City District, and Urban Partners. He co-founded Young Involved Philadelphia, a grassroots nonprofit focused on civic engagement among young Philadelphians, and has been named one of Greater Philadelphia’s 101 top connectors by Leadership Philadelphia. Josh received his B.A. from Yale University and a Master in City Planning from MIT. He lives in West Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.
