Students studying
fields ranging from English to engineering come together
to learn about and from each other through our residential and
arts programs. Research professionals and interns working at
leading hospitals and corporations in the region, including
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, The Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania and Towers Perrin, also call International
House "home" during their time in Philadelphia.
Our diverse international environment is not the only
reason residents enjoy living at International House. Our smoke-free
building is conveniently located in the heart of University
City, within walking distance of the University of Pennsylvania
and Drexel University campuses, and many shops and restaurants.
Amenities include 24-hour security, computer center and study
rooms, high- speed wireless Internet access in every living
unit and on-site parking facility.
Everything about
International House – from the design of our building to
the selection of our staff and programming – promotes interaction
that enables residents to develop valuable cross-cultural communication
skills and build lifelong friendships that will
enrich their personal and professional lives for years to come.
Our residents enjoy free films and concerts, weekly
coffee hours, and many trips and activities, designed by our
culturally sensitive staff to help them settle into student
life in the United States. We also encourage our residents to
play an active role in helping plan and implement our residential
and cultural programs. At International House, we strive to
create an open-minded and friendly environment that allows our
residents to focus on their studies to become future global
leaders.
