Lunar New Year Party!
Come out and celebrate the Year of the Snake at IHP on Friday, February 15th. Program events start at 7:00pm and last approximately two-and-a-half hours, and will feature traditional cultural performances including acrobatics, magic, and Chinese opera, as well as a delicious sampling of Chinese foods.

ln 1996, Mr. Zhang enrolled in the College of Traditional Opera of Shanxi Province to study the performance of Shanxi Opera, majoring in Wu Sheng [Fighting Male Lead]. In school, he took part in the “National Competition of Basic Fundamentals” and “Pronvicial Assembled Performance of Exquisite Excerpts.” ln 2002, he started to work in the Theater of Shanxi Province, where he continues today. ln the same year, he won the second Prize of the “National Grand Prix of Young Performers” with the Play of “Mr. Xiao Shiyi.” In 2003, he went to France and Belgium to take part in the “Culture and Art Festival” with his troupe. During the performance, he won the high recognition of local audiences and colleagues of different countries with the play of “Shasimen”. ln 2004, he won the Performance Prize in the “Ninth Reviewed Performance of Xinghua Prize in Opera of Shanxi Province” with the play of “Havoc in the Dragon’s Palace” and “Crossroads”.
