Come Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit
The Chinese New Year is like Christmas to the West. Essentially, Chinese New Year is spending time with family, gift giving and, the all important, food – fest. Hosting one of the larger New Year events in the city, International House Philadelphia rings in the Year of the Rabbit with live performances by the University of Pennsylvania Pan Asian Dance Troope followed by several dance performers presented by the Chinese community in Philadelphia. International House Philadelphia New Year event focuses on traditional music and dance performance and will serve traditional Chinese samplings. At the end of the evening, a time-honored lion dance will be performed.
