IHP: The First 100 Years
Join us on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00pm to remember the good ol’ days, kick up your heels to some jazz-age tunes courtesy of The Gatsby Brothers, enjoy some cocktails, and taste the flavors of the neighborhood with hors d’oeuvres kindly provided by Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House, White Dog Cafe, and City Tap House. With festive floral decorations courtesy of Campbell Studios, this will be our “Party of the Century” as we unveil our new permanent exhibit, IHP: THE FIRST 100 YEARS!
Over the decades, IHP has amassed an incredible archive of documents – including photographs, original correspondence, newsletters, and press clippings. These have now been assembled, with the generous help of Vision Graphics Custom Framing, into a fascinating exhibit illustrating the story of International House from its beginning. This story reveals a common thread through the changing physical, economic, religious, and political climates that have given International House Philadelphia a prominent place among institutions that advocate for open dialog, cultural exchange, progressive thinking, and peace.
Best of all, this special celebration is absolutely free! Just RSVP to let us know you don’t want to miss out on the fun, the food, the fellowship, and the festivities!
