Exhumed Films Presents
R.A.D.* (*Robots Are Dangerous) Summer Sci-Fi Spectacular!
Doors open at 11:00a.m., Showtime 12:00 noon
If science-fiction movies have taught us anything, it’s that robots simply cannot be trusted. Join Exhumed Films for a full day of mechanical monster movies as we present the R.A.D. Marathon: five fantastic films that warn about the dangers of modern technology. We will be screening some of the most beloved sci-fi films of all time, along with a few guilty pleasures. The R.A.D. Marathon kicks things off with the original 1987 Paul Verhoven classic ROBOCOP, followed by its Canadian clone, THE VINDICATOR! Then we witness the horrors of a robotic security system gone wrong in Jim Wynorski’s CHOPPING MALL before heading into the cosmos and confronting an evil robot army in the Japanese “Star Wars” rip-off MESSAGE FROM SPACE. Finally, we close out the event with perhaps the greatest science-fiction film of the 1980s, the original theatrical cut of Ridley Scott’s BLADE RUNNER. All films will be projected in glorious 35mm; we’ll also have prize giveaways, classic sci-fi trailers, and more! Don’t miss this amazing program!
