12pm:  Doors Open and the Fun begins with an Auction, Raffle, and More!
1pm:    Screenings begin

Please join Exhumed Films on Sunday, January 15 to support a worthy cause--and to enjoy an afternoon of silly, surreal sci-fi cinema! EF will be donating all profits from this special matinee double feature to support our good friend James Harris in his fight against cancer. We will also have prize raffles, a 50/50, and other fundraiser opportunities before the movies. Our double feature for the day will be two fun films programmed with James's input:

1988 / 35mm / Dir. Stephen Chiodo / 88 min.

Brothers Edward and Stephen Chiodo wrote and directed this 1980s cult comedy favorite, and used their expertise as puppeteers and effects artists on movies like CRITTERS and THE SWORD AND THE SORCEROR to create some of the weirdest antagonists in movie history! When a small town is invaded by evil aliens bearing an uncanny resemblance to circus clowns, it's up to a young couple, their friends, and an ice cream truck to save the citizens from the grimacing goons.

1983 / 35mm / Dir. Douglas McKeown / 81 min.

The first and only feature film from writer/director Douglas McKeown has become a low budget horror classic thanks to its naturalistic performances, creative creature effects, and over-the-top gore. A meteroite lands in the woods and unleashes a slew of slimy, slithering alien parasites. Before long, the carnivorous critters take shelter in a suburban basement and start picking off a houseful of horny teenagers. Filmed in the New Jersey suburbs on a miniscule budget by a guy whose previous project was running a haunted house attraction in Seaside Heights, THE DEADLY SPAWN is DIY horror at its finest.

James "Jimmy Terror" Harris is a longtime friend and supporter of Exhumed Films. He's well-known to many in the Philadelphia & NJ horror community, is the creator of the website DocTerror.com and runs HorrorSexy Podcast. James is also the only known human on planet earth to sport an actual, permanent Exhumed Films 24 Hour Horror-thon tattoo! Even the guys in EF aren't that committed! Most importantly, Jimmy is a loving husband to his wife Nicole and a wonderful father to their three young daughters.

In December 2015, James was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a form of cancer which is rare in adults. Over the last year James has gone through surgery and multiple rounds of chemo and radiation, and he still has a challenging road ahead. The guys in Exhumed Films are consistently inspired by Jimmy's strength, determination, and positive attitude; we are excited to do this screening not only as a way to raise money for James and his family, but also to celebrate his contributions to the horror community. Please share this event with others and help us make the fundraiser a huge success!

Special thanks to Ted. A. Bohus!
