First Person Arts reaches beyond linguistic divides, presenting personal stories across a variety of languages. Performed stories are translated into English, allowing storytellers and audience members to explore our unique and shared experiences, wherever in the world we come from. A post-show reception with light hors d'oeuvres and beverages concludes the evening. Hosted by Philly-based comedian Alejandro Morales. Directed by Jen Cleary.

This performance is made possible thanks to our presenting sponsor, Penn's English Language Programs, and is designed to make personal stories accessible to multilingual audiences. This collaboration furthers FPA's mission of presenting storytelling that connects us with each other and the world, and serves Penn's international student population from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Alejandro Morales is a standup comedian, live event producer, webseries director, screenwriter, blogger, and jack of no actual real-life trades. Recently, he was featured in the 2015 Cape Fear Comedy Festival, and his webseries, Dates, was an official selection in the 2015 QFlix Film Festival's "New Media" program.
