Exhumed Films is proud to host the official release party for their favorite film discovery of 2015, NINJA BUSTERS! Garagehouse Pictures has produced a beautiful Blu-ray of this lost kung fu comedy, and you’ll be the first people in the world able to own it! The NINJA BUSTERS Blu-ray will be on sale exclusively through Diabolik DVD starting in December, but audience members at the End-of-Year Spectacular will have a chance to get advance copies at the show. Makes a perfect Christmas/Hannukah/Ramadan/Solstice gift for that special someone in your life! In celebration of the NINJA BUSTERS release and to keep the good times going, Exhumed will also screen two of their all-time favorite “party movies”:

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL
Dir. Allan Arkush / USA / 1979 / 35mm / 93 min.

Produced by genre giant Roger Corman, ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL is a throwback to 1950s teen-centered music films like ROCK ROCK ROCK! and ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK, though obviously updated to reflect the musical scene of the late ‘70s. PJ Soles (HALLOWEEN) plays Riff Randall, a rebellious student at Vince Lombardi High School who is obsessed with punk rock legends The Ramones. Riff meets her heroes, writes a song for them, and enlists their help in overthrowing the evil school principal Miss Togar, who has embarked upon a campaign to rid the community of rock music. A highly ridiculous and enjoyable comedy that features Corman regulars Mary Woronov, Paul Bartel, and Dick Miller, as well as killer songs and beffudling acting from Joey, Johnny, Marky and Dee Dee Ramone.

And…

BMX BANDITS
Dir. Brian Trenchard-Smith / Australia / 1983 / 35mm / 88 min.

This bizarre bit of kiddie Ozploitation is perhaps best described as “THE GOONIES Down Under, on BMX bikes,” though to be fair BMX BANDITS predates its most common film comparison by at least two years. Directed by Australian exploitation favorite Brian Trenchard-Smith (STUNT ROCK, TURKEY SHOOT, DEAD END DRIVE-IN), BMX BANDITS tells a simple story: three BMX crazy teens (including a 16 year old Nicole Kidman in her big screen debut) stumble across a cache of police radios, which they plan to sell in order to take the proceeds and trick out their bikes. But when the teens are pursued by the gangsters who stole the booty in the first place, they’ll need to use all of their bitchin’ BMX skills in order to escape the crooks and save the day! Don’t miss this goofy great in glorious 35mm!

Plus, there will be more super-rare trailers from the upcoming Garagehouse Pictures release TRAILER TRAUMA, lots of food, lots of drink, and lots of fun! Please join us on November 28!
