Culture & Cuisine: Belgium
International House Philadelphia and the Board of Delegates cordially invite you for an evening of Culture and Cuisine to meet and share a meal with IHP residents and friends from around the world in an intimate setting on Tuesday, October 20th at 6:30 pm.
International House is keeping Oktoberfest alive by taking us to one of Fairmount’s hidden gems – The Belgian Café – for a Culture & Cuisine celebration. From the people who brought you Monks Café, The Belgian Café is following suit by offering a Craft Beer Bar and an extensive menu, which, of course, includes a vast selection of mussels. Chef Evan has created a four-course menu representing traditional Belgian fare, paired with beers he selected from the broad assortment offered at the Café.
We will get an opportunity to hear about traditional Belgian Cuisine, beer, and food pairing, as well as the history of the Belgian Trappist Monks who built the foundation of beer brewing centuries ago.
We hope you can make it and as always, look forward to seeing you.
The price is $50 per person ($45 for IHP Members) and includes the presentation, food, beer, tax and gratuity. Please look for street parking or use the parking lot at Parkway Corporation, 2201 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The lot is .3 miles and a 6 minute walk from the café.
