It’s easy to park in University City!
Discounted parking for International House patrons is now available at the Science Center Parking Garage, 3665 Market Street. A special rate of $5.00 per vehicle, effective after 4:00pm until 7:00am, Monday through Friday plus all day Saturday & Sunday. Please bring your parking stub to the International House Box Office to be stamped when attending events.
There are two other parking lots (38th & Walnut and 36th & Chestnut) just a short distance away. Plenty of street parking, free after 8pm, is also available on Chestnut and Market Streets and throughout University City.

From Center City: Take Walnut Street to 38th and Walnut. Make a right onto 38th Street, when you come to Chestnut Street, make another right. We are located one block down to the left.
From West Philadelphia: Take Lancaster Avenue to 38th Street. Turn right onto 38th Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Street. We are located one block down to the left.
From South Philadelphia: Take Grays Ferry Avenue to South 34th Street, make a right, 34th Street becomes University Avenue. Stay straight to go onto South 38th Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street. We are located one block down to the left.
From 30th Street Station: Take Market Street to 38th Street. Make a left onto 38th. Make a left onto Chestnut. We are located one block down to the left.
From Philadelphia International Airport: Start out going Northeast on DEPARTING FLIGHTS towards PARKING ABCDE. Stay straight to go onto AIRPORT EXIT/RETURN TO TERM/PARKING. AIRPORT EXIT/RETURN TO TERM/PARKING becomes AIRPORT EXIT/ECONOMY PARKING. Stay straight to go onto AIRPORT EXIT. Go Straight. Turn slight left onto Ramp F. Turn right onto Industrial Highway. Industrial Highway becomes PA-291 E. PA- 291 E becomes Penrose Avenue. Stay straight to go onto George C. Platt Memorial Bridge. George C. Platt Memorial Bridge becomes Penrose Avenue. Turn left onto South 26th Street. South 26th Street becomes I-76 West. Take exit number 41, towards UNIVERSITY CITY/CIVIC CENTER. Stay straight to go onto South 34th Street. South 34th Street becomes South University Avenue. Stay straight to go onto 38th Street. Turn right onto Chestnut. We are located one block down to the left.
From Greyhound Bus Station: Take North 10th Street going towards Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn right onto North Juniper Street. Turn left onto John F. Kennedy Blvd. Turn right onto Schuylkill Avenue. Schuylkill Avenue becomes Arch Street. Arch Street becomes North 30th Street. Turn right onto John F. Kennedy Blvd. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn left onto 38th Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Street and we are located one block down to the left.
From I-95 North: Take the I-95 S exit towards Central Philadelphia. Merge onto Delaware Expressway. Delaware Expressway becomes I-95 S. Take the I-676/US – 30 exit, exit number 17, towards Central Phila./Independence Hall. Keep left at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Vine Street Expressway. Take the I-76 E exit towards International Airport. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn right onto Arch Street. Arch Street becomes North 30th Street. Turn right onto John F. Kennedy Blvd. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn left onto 38th Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Street and we are located one block down to the left.
From I-95 South: Take the PA-291 exit, exit number 11, towards I-76 W/Central Philadelphia. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Penrose Avenue. Stay straight to go onto George C. Platt Memorial Bridge. George C. Platt Memorial Bridge become Penrose Avenue. Turn left onto S. 26th Street. S. 26th Street becomes I-76 W. Take the exit, exit number 346B, towards University Avenue/Civic Center. Stay straight on S. 34th Street. Go over the 34th Street bridge and merge on to University Avenue. University Avenue becomes S. 38th Street. Turn right onto Chestnut and we are located one block down on the left.
University of Pennsylvania: The University of Pennsylvania spans from 34th Street to 39th Street. Much of Penn’s campus is literally across the street from International House.
Temple University: Temple University, located at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue, is located approximately 20 minutes from International House. Students can take the Broad Street line subway to City Hall and use the free interchange to transfer to a subway surface car to 36th and Market Streets (one block from IHouse).
Drexel University: Drexel University is located at 32nd and Chestnut Streets. Students can walk from Drexel University to International House in about 5 minutes.
Thomas Jefferson University: Thomas Jefferson University is ten minutes or one bus ride away from International House. Jefferson is located at 1020 Walnut Street. Students can catch the “21″ bus less than one block from school. This bus will drop students at 37th and Walnut Streets, two blocks from International House.
Saint Joseph’s University: Saint Joseph’s University is approximately 15 minutes from International House by car. Students can also get to International House by catching the City line bus and transferring at the 69th Street Terminal to the “21″ bus. This bus will drop students at 37th and Walnut Streets, two blocks from International House.
Hahnemann/Allegheny: Hahnemann/Allegheny is located at Broad and Vine Streets, approximately 10 minutes from International House by car. Students can take the “21″ bus to International House. This bus will drop students at 37th and Walnut Streets, two blocks from International House.
Villanova University: Villanova University, located at 800 Lancaster Avenue, is approximately 25 minutes from International House of Philadelphia by car. Follow the “From West Philadelphia” directions.
University of the Sciences: The University of the Sciences, located at 600 S. 43rd Street is a 15 minute walk to International House. Take 43rd Street to Chestnut Street. Make a right. Take Chestnut Street six blocks to International House on the left.
